Canada's New Prime Minister
On October 21, 2019, Canada elected a new Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. Trudeau is the leader of the Liberal Party and has been serving as Prime Minister since 2015. He is the son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
Trudeau ran on a platform of continued support for the middle class and a commitment to climate change action. He also promised to work towards reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples.
